New York Times and USA Today bestselling Author Catherine Bybee

I was excited when Catherine Bybee contacted me in December about using some of my pictures for her Weekday Bride Series. She knew from reading some of my reviews on Goodreads that I had been reading her books and loved them! (Yes, I am a romantic at heart.) She also knew from our friendship on Facebook that I am a wedding photographer. I was honored that she thought my pictures were good enough to use for her novels.

I knew Catherine’s book, “Married by Monday” was supposed to be hitting the shelves in June, but imagine my surprise when I logged in to Twitter and saw the cover for the first time. I loved it! (Yes, she was kind enough to email me to let me know! I just happened to open Twitter first!) For this book she used Kourtney and Will’s picture. This is one of their wedding pictures that was taken at Childress Vineyards.

Catherine has also hinted that I am really going to love her next cover! I can’t wait to see it! I know her cover artist, Crystal Posey, did an amazing job on this one!

So if you love to read, you really should check out Catherine’s books. I think she has something for everyone. While this is a contemporary romance, she also writes historical romance and paranormal time travel books!

Angela and Jacob | Hurley Park Salisbury NC Engagement Photographer

I photographed Angela and Jacob’s engagement session at Hurley Park in Salisbury. I love it when my couples bring props to their session. It makes it so much more personal! Jacob brought his guitar, and I loved it! You can see how much these two love each other every time they look at each other!

This guest signature album is a little different than most of our other albums. It has questions for the guest to answer for the couple.

I am sure I have mentioned on more than one occasion that I love shooting weddings at Saratoga Springs in Mt Pleasant NC. This is another couple this year that I will be photographing at Sarotoga Springs! It is only fair since I don’t remember shooting any last year at this venue. Love, love, love the wedding director! Tammi always has everything planned so perfectly! (her mother-in-law is also named Tammy and is the owner of Saratoga Springs. It is a beautiful plantation style setting that makes a perfect venue.

I am really looking forward to my weddings this year! Colleen and Blair are getting married at Saratoga Springs. This is truly one of my favorite venues! Everything is so well organized there and it is such a beautiful location!

Brandon and Kim’s Engagement Session | Salisbury Wedding Photographer

My son, Brandon was married on my birthday this year. I was impressed when he asked me if I would photograph him proposing to Kim. Normally it takes a lot of dropping hints to get a guy to think of something romantic like this.

You could say that this wedding was a family affair. I photographed his engagement session. His sister, Heather Houston photographed the bridal session, and his other sister Kate Ashbrook photographed the wedding. (Of course, Heather also helped with the wedding!) For the bridal session, Kim wanted some with Brandon in them. Since he was wearing a tux for the wedding they decided to do the bridal session with his dress blues.

Within a week of this wedding, I had another bride request her bridal session include her groom! Amazing! He has already rented a tux for the session! I think this is a nice new trend.

Here is a copy of their guest signature book. These have been a great hit at weddings!

I knew I wanted to do this wedding as soon as I found out the guys were wearing kilts! I had just finished reading a series of books by Diana Gabaldon. The Outlander series takes place in Scotland before, after and during the Battle of Culloden. The author could be describing Andy from the color of his hair to his height.

I loved working with Kerrie and Andy! They are so perfect for each other!
